The real reason many foriegn cell phone providers and services are way ahead of the US is an old one:
The US has had superior LANDLINE service for decades. As foreign countries began to develop worthwhile telephone service (in telephone history, relatively recent), thye opted for more that was not locked in to landlines and the progression of technology gave them a good lead, as opposed to the US which, sure, adopted cell phone use, but the landline service infrastructure that was already in palce held them back-why shell out for new tech when we can plug the old tech and rake in the money. It's funny, the US initial lead actually turned to a disadvantage for them (us).

What a bunch of winey gun-control people in here, the only down side was that the other two involved weren't shot and killed now they get to cost the tax payers more money in court which will be a hell of a lot more than the two the bullets would have cost. :rolleyes:

That "horrible buffered memory" is about a 3.5% handicap....at most. (The memory, chipsets, motherboards are all different.)
And one shouldn't say "but the FB-DIMMs are clocked faster" - the buffering is what enables the faster clock, as well as what adds the latency. The two tend to balance out, and the net result is that you can put 64 GiB of RAM on the Xeon - which you couldn't do without buffering!

They'll change the key and force a firmware update on any airport express user who wants to update itunes.
Unlikely - this would require the new private key be embedded in the firmware update package, which would defeat the purpose of replacing the old key.
This is a fundamental issue with DRM solutions - you, as the consumer, have to hold the private key. They (Apple) can obfuscate where that key is, but in the end it has to be accessible in some manner. It's the same thing with iTunes DRM. If someone cares enough, they can almost certainly retrieve the private key (which is how Requiem works).

I hope the iPhone can be use iChat and we can video chat with and Mac at any time.
Not to be mean, I am being redundant, but the chances of that happening when/if this phone is released is about the same as a Powerbook G5 coming out in matching colors.

Ahhh, its all good folks. Juiceduece and I just disagree:) No worries! Actually for the record...Im glad Apple went with the 27inch 1440p monitor (ive always been a sucker for 16:9). I just think the 24 wasnt "useless"...thats all. :D

I really doubt that Apple will put a TV tuner in this thing (if it's real). Think about it -
Point 1 - If Apple puts a tuner in then they have to deal with the myriad of different types of TV.
