What are the chances of seeing this on e.g. Windows anytime soon? It would really broaden the connections and usefulness of the quite neat piece of app. Anything new on this case?

PSPware seems to be the only DECENT program for Mac to help with PSP files....and it's still not that great at it.

So the previous "beta" releases on the Mac were just alphas? Interesting. How long has Opera 8 been in the making? I am surprised that they're already releasing it, but maybe it just feels short.
*downloads Opera 8.00b1*

The first alpha was posted on Jan. 7, so I'm not sure that this is a "short" job or anything. Opera for Mac snapshots (http://snapshot.opera.com/mac/)
First significant bug - can't install skins anymore. However, I can log into VersionTracker now.

I just installed a full screen protector for my iPad 2. The back turned out pretty well. I started out with the front and it seems to have lots of bubbles left.
I don't have the feeling these bubbles will disappear within the next 48 hours.
So I was wondering, how long can I wait to give it another try? As in take it off and install the same protector again? Cause I have a feeling I didn't use enough solution the first try?

After using several different cases since getting my iPhone 4 on launch day, I've been using it without a case for a few months.
I've currently got a powersupport crystal on the front, invisible shield on the back, and luckylabs spectra wrap round the sides.
My question is, I'm thinking of getting an otterbox defender for taking my phone on holiday, to protect it on the beach and from any splashes around the pool, but wasn't sure if the built in screen protector plus my ps crystal would make the screen unresponsive?
Does anyone use a similar set up, and can give me some advice?
Thanks.

Opened and closed for me as well.
But then again it is in alpha stage so I will give these guys a break. Awesome idea though as I am about to buy a nice TV and a Mac mini for this exact reason. So i will be watching this project closely. :D

That seems like a really cool program, especially if you are looking to create a gif from your favourite TV show, or something.
What are you wanting to do with the program, though? Because you could always pause the movie or video you are trying to cap from and press control+shift+4, this brings up a box which makes a cap of only the parts of the image that are selected, and conveniently saves it to your desktop.
I understand if you are trying something a little more complex, though, that this would be a tedious and inappropriate way of going about it. :)
thank you for your advice.

If you're interested in bird/nature photography try Wakodahatchee wetlands , Green Cay Nature Center , and Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge . They're all within an easy drive of Palm Beach and of each other . The first 2 probably have the best bird photo opportunities as they have walkways out into the wetlands ... the last has a walkway into a cypress swamp which is pretty neat, and shouldn't be too buggy at this time of year.
Start early and you can do all 3 in a day no problem. Was down there last spring and there were lots of nesting birds . 200mm or so on a crop body camera should get you pretty good images . Have fun

Yep. I agree. And if you've used Android lately on a phone, you'd say iPhone what?!?! Apple still has the more solid tablet but Android OS will have that market by summertime as well.
Don't bother flaming, it's well documented in the sales figures that Android has taken the #1 spot in the Phone OS model... my only point is Apple is at a critical turning point in their history. They can give customers what they want, or restrict. Customers don't like to be restricted, and like me, seek alternatives when cornered.
no argument here - but i hate the fact android manufacturers are restricting their phones with encrypted bootloaders etc (motorola, and now htc) which definitely affects being able to flash your device with whatever. not to mention with att's android devices you have to root them to even be able to install the amazon market due to even more restrictions. also waiting forever for the latest android update to go from google -> manufacturer -> mobile provider -> customer... with each putting their own crapware on it
if i ever make the switch, it will hopefully be to a google released and supported phone on at&t. i know the nexus s is a samsung device, but at least it receives pushed google updates.
but i feel you, i get frustrated with all of this too. if it wasnt for jbing, i would have ditched the phone long ago.

let me see if i understand the resolution thing:
we'll be able to adjust the resolution of monitors to really high settings, but instead of everything having to be tiny (windows, menus, text, etc.), we'll be able to make them normal size without them looking crappy? sounds awesome to me.

I've always heard that the Zune was a good device, but Microsoft just did an abysmal job at marketing.
This is true. A lot of people are talking trash about the devices but I doubt anyone as ever used one. To me the UI was much more concise than the iPod, the hardware was very high quality (sound from the headphone port was far superior to what the iPod outputs) and the Zune Marketplace has a nice "recommended" music software. In the end, it was poor implementation and the Apple freight train that made the Zune fail.
I don't know why people are happy about this though. Do you really only want one music player in the market? No one wants a choice? How about competition? Competition is what drives companies to innovate. I really want some company to come out with a product that pushes Apple to an even higher level of innovation. So far no one has done it.

Is there a reason why he would not have a DropBox account? I mean, DropBox is great and very useful, why couldn't he be using it?
He could, but what that would say about his belief iDisk/MobileMe..... would be interesting.

VW's spots were both brilliant! The Beetle one was great and the Darth Vader Kid was funny, too. The Audi ones were a bit long, funny, but you really have to want to watch them. I know they're teasers, but I couldn't even finish the Kenny G one. I will say I chuckled a bit at the first Scared Straight one when the guy said he has enough money to bring the stuffed bear back to life. Great line!
Agreed, the VW ones are awesome! The Audi, not so much.

Sorry but I don't really understand your reply. I think I get what your getting at.
I will give an example. Joe Smith.
Just say his email is jsmith@blah.com
first time i receive an email from him, i right click his email address at the top of the email and go down to add to address book.
Then I test it by opening a new email, clicking in the TO: section and typing 'Joe'.. It wont find it but if i type 'js' it will find it.
Next I have tried deleting that contact from the address book and opening address book myself. Adding the contact physically through the address book program. Test it, same thing. Only way I can search a name in an email is to open a new email click the address book icon within that email pane and find the user. Which is just another extra step I should have to do. :(

I'm more just curious if there has been evidence that the typical response of "we only store them for a few days while we ensure delivery" is not always true. In a lot of crime investigations, it looks like the police look at the text messages stored on the phone itself.
