My biggest issue with this is when I buy the movie, I expect to be able to watch it on whatever I want, i.e. my HDTV, PowerBook, iPod, or, even in the near future, mobile device, as long as I own the device it's being played on.
When movie industries get the idea that limiting the devices you can play the movie on makes people want to buy the movie even less, then I might consider buying movies online. Until then, I'll stick with DVDs...

I have an original iPad with 3G. If I run MyWi on this iPad, can I create a WiFi hotspot as I successfully do the same with my iPhone 4?

Err, nope. No country is on 1st August yet.
Japan is the earliest to be on 1st Aug, but at this time of my writing, it's still 8:24 pm (31 July) in Japan.

The deal is on slickdeals so it probably wont last long. Its totally legit through motorola. I thought about trying it out but then it says could take 4-6 week to get money back if i return it. Not sure if i will like it

I know it's a pain, but if you sit through the .mac seminar at an apple store, they offer it to both new and existing customers for $69. That's what I've done for the past two years.

And Apple having your address, phone number, e-mail address, creditcard is fine with you? And if yes, why is ok for Apple to have this information but not for the FT?

I just got back from International Plaza in Tampa, FL and they have the new Second-Generation iPod Shuffle in the store. They are not on display. I went up to the counter and asked for one and the guy had 4 behind another display.
I didn't ask how many they had in stock, but there were at least 3 at the time I left.
Got it all set up. The sound quality puts my 20GB touch-wheel with full-size FireWire connector iPod to shame.
The packaging, as expected, is pretty cool too.

Yeah, the whole 2G = 2nd Generation thing is getting old. Most people with any sense can discern 2G from 2GB, but that's assuming that most people have any sense, which sadly isn't the case.
(I don't get it; when people say they have a 120 Gigabyte Hard Drive in their computer, they always say "120GB," not "120G." So why get confused at "2G iPod?" It's simply confounding!)
